What is the Family Advisory Council (FAC)?

The Family Advisory Council (FAC) consists of fellow Explore! families. Our mission is to support all of our families, our school staff, and our greater community. We do this through events, committee groups and open meetings.  We are so happy to have you as part of the Explore! family. Membership is open to any parent, guardian or adult family member who wants to work collaboratively with other parents and school staff and make measurable additions to the school program.

“Community” is one of Explore’s! Core Values and families play a major role in shaping, growing, and cultivating our school community.

The Family Advisory Council (FAC) is an integral part of the community and offers volunteer opportunities for all parents/guardians. The goal of the FAC is to support and enhance Explore! by encouraging family engagement and collaborating with the school staff and board. We do this through staff appreciation activities, fundraising, volunteering, promoting the school, building relationships among families, caring for one another’s needs and engaging in service opportunities in our Nashville community.

Where are we headed?

We’re focused next on strengthening the core of the FAC by opening our doors to more parents & guardians, as well as building on the foundational work that previous parents have done within the FAC. This means establishing ourselves as a 501(c)3 organization within the spring of ‘2025, raising interest and awareness among families of our existence, and establishing ourselves as a resource for all families.
